Our Approach

At Enable Care we believe that rehabilitation doesn’t have to be delivered in a clinical or hospital setting a long way from the support of family and loved ones.

Our aim is to enable our residents to get as much out of each and every day as possible. Our team are empowered to provide personalised care that focuses on the residents’ individual goals. This enables them to live more independently and to maximize their personal capabilities. The mix of a clinical and rehabilitation team ensures that we can manage a range of residents’ requirements; from the most complex of nursing needs, to support with everyday tasks.

See what services we offer

At all times, we endeavour to promote the highest level of independence for each individual and to ensure that they maintain any gains they have previously made in rehabilitation. As part of our team we have a Lifestyle Coach and a Fitness Coach who support activities both in the home and in the community. From art and cooking to fitness and wellbeing, we aim to keep both mind and body active.

Meet the team at 1 Sewardstone Close

Before admission we carry out an in-depth assessment to formulate a personalised care and rehabilitation plan. When an individual comes to live at 1 Sewardstone Close our team will discuss what goals each person would like to achieve and these are recorded and reviewed on a regular basis. As well as discussing rehabilitation goals it’s also very important for us to find out from each individual, their family and friends what their lifestyle was like before their brain injury. It’s key for us to know what they liked doing; favourite past times and hobbies, religious practices, music, food, anything at all that helps us better understand each person and to make their daily experience in our home happy, engaging and fulfilling.
